In summer of 1991, the weather in Macau--the Monte Carlo of the Orient--is intensely hot, and so is the violence on the streets. Two major gangs are battling over the control of local casinos. With endless bloody fights between the gangs, ordinary citizens are living in fear.

Amidst the turmoil, Winnie Fong, a young journalist, is assigned to do an exclusive interview with Giant, godfather of one of the two gangs. Although Giant is notorious for his cruelty and ruthlessness to his foes, Winnie is not afraid to make him unveil his past.
