A swordsman, Lu Tin Kwan (Damian Lau), is unexpectedly implicated in a robbery after which three of the robbers are found dead, and the gold is missing. After being sent to prison, he prepares a plan to find out what really happened to the deceased, as well as the treasure.

After escaping, he still finds himself no closer to the truth. With the government and bandits chasing him, and all the clues leading to dead ends, Lu must struggle to find the actual criminal, before he finds himself on the wrong end of a sword.
