A dramatization of the girlhood of blind Chinese memoirist Lucy Ching, who succeeded in life with help from her nanny.

A true story based on a blind girl's determination to succeed in a "seeing" world. Author Lucy Ching had the privilege of meeting Helen Keller and it was Keller who inspired her to write the book (English title being "ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES") that is the basis for this film.

The movie is a low-budget, but moving and well-acted movie based on the autobiography of Lucy Ching Man-Fai. The movie simply focuses on the life of the blind girl, Lucy, getting through a difficult life with the help of her nanny.
